For metal rapid prototype components, there are a range of alternative production methods, dependant on the desired end use.

• Investment casting in steel, aluminium, zinc and brass from wax patterns produced via silicon rubber tooling. Traditional foundry waxes are used so that no special processes are required.
• Sand cast aluminium parts using either an SLA as the master or via traditional pattern tooling.
• Plaster cast zinc and aluminium components, particularly suitable where a high degree of accuracy and detail are required. Tolerances and surface finish comparable to precision die cast parts
• CNC machining.
